The mountainous, northern region of Vietnam is among the country’s least developed areas. Of the 64 regions in Vietnam, this region has the eighth highest HIV prevalence rate. Forty-eight percent of all drug users have HIV. Many teenagers are beginning to experiment with drugs and sex. Unfortunately, the consequence of their actions can be deadly.
