Because of their remote location and the lack of resources to start a clinic, many villages in the Highlands of PNG do not have access to basic medical treatment. As a result, many children are lost to preventable, treatable diseases.

The ADRA-supported Flying Medical Clinic provides family health services to communities in Simbu and Eastern Highlands province. The services mainly benefit mothers and children from the community with an immunisation program and a reproductive health care service. Every year, the Flying Medical Clinic makes 36 visits.
