An increasing concern in Australia is the growing number of women and children suffering from domestic violence, homelessness or other personal crisis. In desperation, these women and children often find themselves seeking shelter in an ADRA-supported refuge. Being taken away from all that is familiar is a difficult challenge for a young child. To ensure that these children receive minimal disruption to their education, ADRA provides each child with essential school and learning resources.
