ADRA Prepared for Bush Fire Season

ADRA Australia's program within Australia includes emergency management and disaster response. As the bushfire season in Australia commences, ADRA is constantly assessing needs to provide help when needed.
In New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, ADRA Australia is part of Government emergency response partnerships. ADRA's role in these partnerships is the responsibility of providing emergency accommodation for evacuees and emergency management personnel at times of disaster, including bushfires. From January 2007, ADRA will also provide emergency accommodation services in Western Australia. Across other states, ADRA has access to teams of volunteers and other community support networks to help deliver a timely response.
