Every October, we run the ADRA Appeal to raise funds for local community projects.
There are a number of ways that you can engage with your local community throughout October while raising funds for ADRA’s life changing projects in your own backyard and around the world.

ADRA's Race Around Australia
This September, we’re kicking off the ADRA Appeal with a race around Australia.
Get active, rally support, and raise vital funds to support Aussies doing it tough. Together we can help provide food, essential items, and connection for those who need it most.
ADRA Appeal
During October, we will be raising funds for Aussies in need through the annual ADRA Appeal.
Individuals and churches can support the ADRA Appeal through a range of different activities.
Activities could include digital fundraising, doorknocking, public place collection, street collection, fundraising events, and more.
Community Projects Offering
This offering will be collected on Saturday, 3 October in Adventist churches across Australia.
The annual ADRA Community Projects offering is the major source of funding for over 100 projects across Australia that support Aussies in need. These projects are run in conjunction with local Seventh-day Adventist churches.
Evie’s Story
At 18 years old, Evie was juggling her TAFE studies, job seeking, and her increasing mental health struggles.
“Medication was expensive and having to finance and budget…some days I didn’t eat,” says Evie. “And then there was even some weeks where I was without medication.”
On the way home from TAFE one evening, Evie discovered ADRA’s Community Bus in Pakenham, Victoria – a mobile ‘centre’ that ADRA runs its local community program from.
“On that one day I got so much help,” says Evie. “I got groceries, referrals to other services to help me with my mental health, and with my disabilities as well.
“I stabilised after the first few weeks of coming to ADRA. I was emotionally better. My finances got better. And I made so many new friends.”
Evie says, “Because of ADRA, I’ve found my faith in God. I was baptised and decided to join the Seventh-day Adventist Church.”
