The cost-of-living is pushing more and more families into crisis. For too many Aussies right now, there simply isn’t enough money to cover the essentials.
Families are being forced to make impossible choices – between putting food on the table, paying rent, keeping the electricity on, or getting the medical care they need.
ADRA is helping to meet this need with almost 100 community projects nationally. In partnership with local Seventh-day Adventist churches, ADRA supports initiatives such as food pantries, community gardens, op shops, and counselling services to help those in the community who would otherwise fall through the cracks.

Evie’s Story
At 18 years old, Evie was juggling her TAFE studies, job seeking, and her increasing mental health struggles.
“Medication was expensive and having to finance and budget…some days I didn’t eat,” says Evie. “And then there was even some weeks where I was without medication.”
On the way home from TAFE one evening, Evie discovered her local ADRA project in Pakenham, Victoria.
“On that one day I got so much help,” says Evie. “I got groceries, referrals to other services to help me with my mental health, and with my disabilities as well.”
